We understand that relocating involves many moving parts, and the package has been thoughtfully developed to assist you at every step of the journey.
From immigration assistance to logistical coordination, the relocation support is tailored to make your move to Malta as seamless as possible.

Initial Briefing
Upon initiation of the relocation process, our team will schedule a briefing call to:
Provide an overview of the relocation process.
Address any preliminary questions or concerns.
Outline the roles and responsibilities of all parties involved.
Share the relocation documentation.
Collaboration with External Vendors
We collaborate with trusted external partners to ensure a smooth relocation experience:
Tax Advisors (e.g., EY): To navigate international tax implications and ensure compliance.
Heart Relocation: Assisting with housing, moving logistics, and settling-in services.
Immigration Consultants: Managing visa and work permit applications.

Visa and Immigration
Assistance with obtaining work permits, visas, residency permits for you and accompanying family members and any other required documentation necessary for entry into the destination country.
Tax Services
Comprehensive tax support provided by EY to help individuals understand local tax systems, assess potential impacts, and ensure ongoing compliance throughout the relocation process.
Travel to Destination
One-way flights for employee and accompanying family members (travel based on Company relocation travel policy). Reimbursement of up to £500 for excess baggage fees.
End of the year flight
December return flight for employee and accompanying family members (travel based on Company relocation travel policy). Reimbursement of up to £500 for excess baggage fees.
Cultural Training
To gain essential insights into Maltese culture to support a smooth personal and professional transition for employees and their families.
Shipment of personal belongings
Includes pack and load, transportation, third-party services, insurance, and claims management.
Allowance based on family size
Pet shipment
Heart Relocation can assist with pet relocation if required. Please mention this to your consultant during the briefing call.
Home leave allowance
One-time allowance net based on family size to support with settling-in wellbeing and either employees to fly home or family to visit
Preview Trip & Home Search trip
Employee and accompanying family, one trip for up to 3 days, 2 nights exclusive of travel time
Return flights for employee and accompanying family members (travel based on Company relocation travel policy)
Reasonable itemised, receipted meals, lodging and rental car (based on Company travel policy)
Temporary Accommodation
There is a option for serviced accommodation as an alternative to hotels which provides facilities like kitchens, laundry and a more “real” living experiencw. (Combined between departure and destination locations), or reimbursement of one month’s actual rent—whichever is applicable or;
Reimbursement of the first month rent when moving straight to the permanent accommodation
Destination Services / Home Finding / Rental Assistance / School or Nursery Search Assistance
Support to find a house, school and settle in Malta.
Details will be provided in the relocation package
*May include specialised school/education assistance if needed.
Cash allowance
Cash allowance to help towards the relocation incidental costs.

FAQs

Your Heart Relocation consultant will be your single point of contact for all relocation activity. Of course there will be other specialists involved who will interact with you through out your relocation, such as local home search consultants. Of course for all Flutter related queries the Flutter Mobility team will be there to suport you to.

Anything related to your relocation should be directed to your dedicated Heart Relocation consultant who will be able to answer and assist with any requirements. If your question is related to working in the new location or employment in general these should be directed in the first instance to your contact in Flutter’s mobility team.

Flutter wants all the employees who relocate for work to have the best possible experience and in order to ensure this Flutter have chosen to work with experienced relocation professionals who work exclusively in this space to leverage their knowledge and expertise to make sure that our employees get the best service and support available

Heart Relocations service extends to the whole relocating family, sometimes there are extra pressures on the family and our consultants will work inclusively to ensure that the whole family needs are met, after all we want everyone to have a wonderful and enriching experience from this relocation.

A full day of accompanied support (8 hours) which will include but is not limited to:
Information on host location
Overview of housing and neighbourhoods.
Identify sample of properties in nominated areas within parameters set by the company (e.g. budget, location, etc.)
Practical overview tour of relevant areas such as shopping areas, recreation, markets, doctors, dentists, etc. (based on a needs assessment)
Security briefing, medical emergency service orientation
Overview of schooling options (if applicable)

A full package of support including 1 full day of accompanied viewings of available properties (maybe split over 1 or 2 calendar days) but will include:
• Conduct a needs analysis to determine specific requirements.
• Pre-screen suitable properties that fit within the budget.
• Prepare and provide an itinerary for property viewings.
• Arrange and accompany you on property viewings.
• Negotiate lease terms, review the lease agreement, and highlight key points.
• Coordinate signature and payment processes.
• Assist with utility connections.
• Conduct a handover and move-in inspection, including taking digital photos.

A full 8 hours of support over a number of days to include but not limited to:
• Assistance with driver's licence and registration offices
• Advice on opening a bank account
• Telephone and utility installation
• Furniture rental assistance where available
• Appliance set-up assistance
• Assistance with insurance matters
• Car leasing / renting assistance
• Provide literature, emergency numbers, embassies / consulates, associations etc.
• Miscellaneous assistance (pharmacy, grocery store, shopping, library, restaurants, postal services, sports / health clubs, newspapers)
